April 15, 2010

The Mount Union College Department of Theatre will present 'Crimes of the Heart,' written by Beth Henley, on October 4, 5 and 6 at 8 p.m. in Rodman Playhouse.

'Crimes of the Heart' is a melodramatic black comedy that tells the story of three estranged sisters who reunite after one of them shoots her husband. Described as warmhearted, irreverent, zany and brilliantly imaginative, the story is about how these three young women escape the past to seize the future.

The cast includes Katy Borland, a freshman of Carrollton as Lenny Magrath; Brittany Kugler, a senior of Alliance as Meg Magrath; Jillian Stelzner, a senior of Allegheny, Pennsylvania as Babe Botrelle; Kelly Morckel, a freshman of Salem as Chick Boyle; Kyle Shonce, a freshman of Salem as Doc Porter; and Josh Pickens, a freshman of Imperial, Pennsylvania as Barnette Lloyd.
