Mount Union College departments of Theatre and Music to Present ?The Pirates of Penzance?

The Mount Union College departments of Theatre and Music will present a fresh take on one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic operas 'The Pirates of Penzance,' on Friday, February 18; Saturday, February 19; Thursday, February 24; Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26 at 8 p.m. in Rodman Playhouse.' A matinee will also be presented Sunday, February 20 at 2 p.m. in Rodman Playhouse.

 

The Pirates of Penzance spins a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policeman, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric major-general, all morally bound to the often-ridiculous dictates of honor and duty.

The cast includes Pirate King, played by senior Matt Antonini; Frederic, played by junior Aaron Tuttle; Ruth, played by senior Sarah Hutchins; Major General Stanley, played by freshman Mike Vince; Samual, played by junior Tarion Young and Sargeant, played by freshman Ben Drazel.' Daughters include, Mabel, played by sophomore Bea Petzinger; Kate, played by junior Lindsey Rudibaugh; Edith, played by senior Angela Dallas; and Isabel, played by freshman Lauren Brobeck.' Other cast members include senior Lindsay Henschel, freshman Sarah Mickley, senior Kara Stoddard, junior Travis Harding, freshman Allen Middaugh, senior Aaron Remely, junior Andrew Ricci, freshman Jeremy Roseberry, Dylan Barnes, sophomore Rob Brucker, junior Andy Morales, freshman Nate Mullen and freshman Craig Wilkinson.
