Mount Union College Flute Choir to Perform at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church

The Mount Union College Flute Choir will perform at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church in Canton on Sunday, April 21 during the 10 a.m. worship service.

 

The Flute Choir will perform with the Stark County Honors Flute Choir and Malone College Flute Choir.

The Mount Union College Flute Choir features both students majoring in music and students from other academic areas of study. The group performs regularly in recital at Mount Union, as well as in area schools, clubs, retirement homes and churches. In addition, they are regular performers in the Central Ohio Flute Festivals, the Dana Flute Festivals and the Northeast Ohio Flute Festivals. The Flute choir uses the traditional C Flute, as well as piccolo, alto flute and bass flute. Additional instruments such as harp, harpsichord, cello, piano, bass clarinet, percussion, and electric bass participate with the flute choir on a regular basis. The group is under the direction of Mount Union College flute instructor, Robin Tryon.
