Mount Union College Honors Student Employees

Mount Union College held the first annual Student Employee Recognition Reception, honoring nine students for their work in various areas of the College. Lesley Strick, a senior from Worthington, was named Student Employee of the Year.
Strick is employed through the work study program as a resident assistant. She received her award from Tory Oelfke, work study coordinator and financial aid counselor in the office of student financial service. She was nominated for the award by her supervisor, Mary Morris, assistant director for residence life for programming.
Eight other students were honored for their nominations by their supervisors, including Melissa Fleming of Delaware for her work in dining services, Rebecca Hovanec of Canfield for her work with the America Reads/America Counts program, Heather Kirchmeyer of Alliance for her work in International Programs, Vy Lam of Twinsburg for her work in information technology, Andrew Oswald of Creston for his work in information technology, Amanda Renneke of Carroll, Iowa for her work in the office of admissions, Kathryn Simchak of Canton for her work in the library and Jennifer Thurin of Louisville for her work in academic affairs.
