Mount Union College Hosts a Studio Talk with Award-Winning Artist

Award-winning artist Michael Loderstedt visited the Mount Union College campus on Wednesday morning to present a studio talk to students in the Eells Art Center.

The topics presented at the studio talk included print and book making that were relevant to three art classes currently offered at Mount Union.

Loderstedt has numerous permanent collections of his artwork in museums and has one-person and group exhibitions featured in various locations. He has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art, the University of Akron and the College of Wooster.

Loderstedt earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in printmaking and drawing from East Carolina University and a master of fine arts degree in painting/sculpture from Kent State University. He is an associate professor at Kent State University and is a fellow of the Ohio Arts Council and a Northeast Ohio Show exhibitor and award winner.
