Mount Union College Hosts Health Fair for Students

Mount Union College held its annual student health fair on Wednesday, March 28, allowing students to take advantage of free health screenings, receive give-aways and learn from a variety health, fitness and nutritional information.
Visitors from the Alliance community and other sources of wellness participated in the fair. Those represented included the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter, Alliance Area Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Program, Alliance City Health Department, Alliance for Children and Families, Alliance Obstetrics, Inc., American Cancer Society, American Red Cross Stark County Chapter and Rape Crisis Services, Arch Diagnostic Imaging, Charlton Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Edwards Medical Supply, Family Vision Care of Alliance, Healthy Heart ' Healthy Pleasures, Medical Endocrinology and Dermatology Specialists, Niehaus Foot and Ankle Clinic and Podiatric, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Planned Parenthood of Stark County and Stark State Massage Therapy Program.
Several on-campus programs took part in the health fair as well. Those involved include AVI FoodSystems, Campus Security, Sexual Assault Awareness Program, Department of Human Performance and Sport Management, Office of Alcohol, Drug and Wellness Education, Office of the Chaplain and the Student Health Center.
The Health Fair was sponsored by the Ramsayer Health Center at Mount Union in cooperation with the participants who volunteered their time and made donations to make the Health Fair a success.
