Mount Union College International Week Events Planned

Mount Union College will be celebrating its annual International Week, beginning Monday, February 11.
The festivities begin Monday during the lunch and evening dining hours when students will be making international valentines.
On Tuesday, February 12, the International Student Overnight will be held, beginning at 6:30 p.m. International students from the Stark area high schools will be visiting Mount Union to experience college life in the United States. At 9:30 p.m., they will have the opportunity to attend a mixer with Mount Union students, featuring a live DJ. The visitors will spend the night in the dorm rooms and attend class on Wednesday, February 13 with their volunteer Mount Union student hosts and hostesses.
On Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. an International Panel Discussion will be held in the Alumni Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. International and study abroad students will talk about their experiences in other cultures. A current international student at Mount Union will talk about his experience as an exchange student in high school, and why he chose to remain in the United States for college. Jennifer Hall, assistant professor of French and director of English as a Second Language, and Tonya Pieczarka, director of international admissions, will also participate in the discussion.
Wednesday evening, a Chinese New Year Food Fest will be held in the Dining Hall beginning at 4:30 p.m. The dinner will feature Chinese food and music.
