Mount Union College Names Teaching and Learning Mentors
April 22, 2010
The SBC Ameritech Faculty Development Technology Program has named Mount Union College professors Dr. James Kadlecek and Dr. Ann Ritchey as the College's SBC Ameritech Teaching and Learning Mentors for the 2001-02 academic year. As Teaching and Learning Mentors (TLMs), Kadlecek and Ritchey will guide faculty members from all college departments in ways to use technology to enhance their teaching and improve students' learning. Mount Union College's Dr. James Phillips is also involved in the program, having served as a TLM during the previous academic year and as a member of The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges committee administering the program.
The Teaching and Learning Mentor (TLM) program is the latest addition to the SBC Ameritech Faculty Development Technology Program, developed for member colleges of The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, Inc. Throughout the past five summers, the program has supported workshops for faculty to learn how to best integrate technology in their classroom activities. As TLMs for Mount Union College, Kadlecek and Ritchey will attend these workshops and then present the information to other faculty members on their campus.
