Mount Union College Receives Second Increment of Fifth Third Bank Grant
April 22, 2010
Mount Union College recently received $25,000 from Fifth Third Bank, trustee of the Charles Schell Foundation, as the second increment of a $100,000 grant that will help qualified students in need of emergency financial aid assistance.
The first increment of $25,000 was distributed in August 2001, and the additional increments will be distributed over the next two years. Students must submit loan applications explaining their financial need.
The Schell grant was established in 1938 to provide citizens of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia with special funding to pursue a "practical education."
