Mount Union College?s Run-A-MUC 5K Race Scheduled for October 28

The 23rd Annual Run-A-MUC 5K Race, sponsored by Mount Union College's Sport Management Association, will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the race will start at 9 a.m. Runners should report for the start of the race at the Timken Physical Education Building.
The 5K (3.1 mile) race will begin and end on the Mount Union campus. The course is mostly flat and fast, routed through residential areas surrounding the College. It will be police protected with splits at each mile and a water station.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall men and women winners and to the first two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners). There will be an awards ceremony in the stadium following the conclusion of the race.
Shower facilities and lockers will be available in the Timken Physical Education Building before and after the race. Participants should bring their own locks. Fruit and drinks will be available at the finish line.
The cost of the race is $12 if paid in advance and $15 the day of the race. The fee for Mount Union students is $5. Each pre-registrant will receive an all-you-can-eat lunch and a long-sleeved t-shirt.
A special Kids' Race is open to all children ages 7 and younger. The race will begin immediately following the conclusion of the 5K and consists of one lap around Mount Union's track. Each participant will win a prize. Please pre-register with the Office of Alumni and College Activities.
