Mount Union Colleges Will Foran Receives Outstanding New Professional Award

Will Foran assistant director of student involvement and leadership at Mount Union College has been recognized as the 2005 American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Commission for Student Involvement 'Outstanding New Professional.'


Foran, who's been at Mount Union since 2003, received his bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.' He was most recently a graduate assistant for Greek affairs at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.' He is a member of the Association of Fraternity Advisors, the ACPA and the National Council of the National Fraternity of Phi Mu Delta.'

This award seeks to acknowledge the individual who has made a significant impact upon students, their departments and/or campus through specific initiatives or by way of their day-to-day interactions with others.' The award also attempts to acknowledge regional and/or national participation in the field.'

The ACPA is the leading student affairs association that advances student affairs and engages students for a lifetime of learning and discovery.' ACPA supports and fosters college student learning through the generation and dissemination of knowledge, which informs policies, practices and programs for student affairs professionals and the higher education community.'

Foran will be recognized on Tuesday, April 5 at the ACPA National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
