Mount Union College to Be Host-site for "College Goal Sunday"

February 2, 2006

Mount Union College will be a host site for the state-wide college financial aid event 'College Goal Sunday' on Sunday, February 12 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The free event, presented by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA), assists students and parents with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

OASFAA is an organization that strives to offer resources to students, families and high school advisors to promote higher education and increase awareness of financial aid opportunities.

'The FAFSA is key to funding a college education and helping families over-come the financial barriers that typically prevent students from attending,' said Greg Guzman, co-chair of the state-wide College Goal Sunday event.

Families are encouraged to register and choose a location for the free event at www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org due to the great demand for assistance in completing the FASFA.

Please contact Emily Swain, associate director of student financial services, at (330) 823-2674 with any questions.
