Mount Union College to Conduct Annual Holiday Shutdown

Mount Union College is conducting its annual shutdown from 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 23 through Thursday, January 1. The College will reopen on Friday, January 2.
Mount Union Security will remain in force 24 hours a day during the holiday period. The switchboard will not be staffed after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23 until Friday, December 26 at 8 a.m. A recorded message will inform callers that the College is closed until December 26 and will direct the caller to the security cellular phone in case of an emergency. The switchboard will be temporarily located in the lobby of Beeghly Hall and staffed by a student worker from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 26 through Tuesday, December 30. After 5 p.m., callers will hear a similar recorded message directing them to campus security in case of emergency.
The Offices of Academic Affairs, Admission, International Admission, Registration, Financial Services, Student Affairs, Public Affairs and Marketing and Human Resources will be closed from 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 23 through Thursday, January 1. During this time, employees will be checking their voicemail periodically.
The Advancement Office will have coverage in their offices located in Beeghly Hall from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, December 26 through Wednesday, December 31.
The Office of Business Affairs, also located in Beeghly Hall, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, December 26 through Tuesday, December 30.
The offices of Admission, Student Financial Services, and International Admissions will be checking voice mail messages and e-mail accounts periodically during this time at the numbers shown below for any urgent matters.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: There will be a disruption in the campus telephone service (including voice mail) beginning at 5 p.m. on December 29 and ending at approximately 3 a.m. on December 30. During this time the Office of Information Technology will be upgrading the College's main phone switch. No calls will be received or made from campus phones during this time. The emergency blue light phones will be out of service and any transactions using PurplePlus from the off campus vendors will not be permitted during this time.
