Mount Union Crowns 2011 Homecoming Queen and King

Kaitlin Petrilli and Marcus Williams were named the University of Mount Union’s 2011 Homecoming Queen and King during the halftime of the Mount Union vs Marietta football game on Saturday, October 8.
 
Petrilli, a early childhood education major of Twinsburg, Ohio, is a member of Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Phi Omega, Association of Women Students, Marching Band, Order of Omega, Blue Key National Honor Society, Dowling Mentor Program, Kappa Delta Pi, Sophomore Service Honorary, Student Senate, Student National Education Association and Student Alumni Association. She also is an advancement ambassador.
 
Williams, a finance major of Zanesville, Ohio, serves as senior class president and is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Campus Crusade for Christ, Student Senate, Alpha Lambda Delta, Tau Pi Phi and Campus Church B.E.S.T Program. He also is a First Year Experience advocate and Preview and Orientation guide as well as a student leader of the wilderness.
 
Others in contention for queen included Kourtney Betler, Shannon Brys, Hilary Davenport and Jessica Ramsey.
 
Betler, a mathematics major of Minerva, Ohio, is a member of Blue Key National Honor Society, Alpha Phi  Omega, Campus Crusade for Christ, Student Senate, Pi Mu Epsilon, Sophomore Service Honorary and Kappa Delta Pi. She also is an advancement ambassador.
 
Brys, a communication major of Painesville, Ohio, is a member of The Dynamo, Studio M, WRMU 91. 1 FM, Association of Women Students, Student Senate, Alpha Lambda Delta, Lambda Pi Eta, Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Blue Key National Honor Society.
 
Davenport, a biology major of Norwalk, Ohio, is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Alpha Chi Omega, Pre-Health Professions Club and Blue Key National Honor Society. She also is Mount Union cheerleader and serves as president of Alpha Mu Gamma.
 
Ramsey, a political science major of Richmond, Ohio, serves as president of Delta Sigma Tau and is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Pi Sigma Alpha, Student National Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi, History Society, Mount Union After Hours, Gamma, The Dynamo and Order of Omega. She also serves as a senior class officer and is a First Year Experience advocate.
 
Others in contention for king included Justin Barnett, Christopher Hershberger, Vincenzo Pierro and Nicholas Walker.
 
Barnett, an accounting major of Akron, Ohio, serves as treasurer of Student Senate and is a member of the Black Student Union, Accounting Club and Dowling Mentor Program. He also serves as a youth football coach and advancement ambassador.
 
Hershberger, a mathematics major of Apple Creek, Ohio, is a member of Campus Crusade for Christ, Religious Life Council, Association of International Students and Pi Mu Epsilon. He also serves as community educator and assistant resident director.
 
Pierro, an accounting and business administration major of Lorain, Ohio, serves as a member of Tau Pi Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta, Accounting Club, Sophomore Service Honorary and Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Past president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Pierro is a Preview and Orientation guide.
 
Walker, a sport business major of Shaker Heights, Ohio, is a member of the Sport Business Association, Student Senate, American Marketing Association and Black Student Union. He also serves as a Preview and Orietnation guide.
