Mount Union Dedicates Montgomery Field

Mount Union College dedicated Montgomery Field, an intramural field provided by a gift from Joseph and Charlotte Mastroianni and named for Assistant Football Coach Donald Montgomery, in a ceremony on Saturday, January 11.
The field, which is located southwest of Shields Hall on the western edge of campus, is the site of numerous intramural and recreational activities. The dedication included remarks by Mount Union College President Dr. Jack Ewing as well as the donors.
Mastroianni, a member of Mount Union College's Board of Trustees since 1993, is currently active in Alliance Ventures, a real estate development company in Alliance. He and his wife Charlotte have been active in numerous community service projects throughout the Alliance area.
Montgomery, a 1977 graduate of Mount Union College, has been an assistant football coach for the Purple Raiders for 25 years. He has also served as head wrestling coach and currently serves as the College's strength and conditioning coach.
