Mount Union Department of Theatre to Present ?Nuts?

Mount Union College Department of Theatre will present 'Nuts' on November 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. in the Rodman Playhouse at Mount Union College.

 

'Nuts' takes place in a courtroom in New York's Bellevue Hospital where Claudia Faith Draper fights not to be declared mentally incompetent to stand trial on a manslaughter charge. The state, along with a court-appointed psychiatrist and a prosecutor, say that the incarcerated Draper is 'nuts.' Claudia, who demonstrates to the judge that she is not crazy, goes off in the end to stand trial on the manslaughter charge.

The cast includes Brittany Kugler, a sophomore theatre major from Alliance, as Officer Haggerty; Joe Gennaro, a junior theatre major from Streetsboro, as Levinski; Margo Bell, a junior writing major from Carrollton, as MacMillian; Rachael Rose, a freshman from Canton, as the court reporter; Lindsey Rudibaugh, a senior Spanish major from Lisbon, as Rose Kirk; Andrew Ricci, a junior writing major from Beaver Falls, PA, as Arthur Kirk; Paul Rohrer, a sophomore French major from Alliance, as Dr. Rosenthal; Aubrey Bowser, a sophomore English major from Beaver Falls, PA, as the judge; and Amanda Tweddell, a freshman from Parma, as Claudia Faith.
