MOUNT UNION EDUCATION IS ON THE RUN IN HOLMES COUNTY

April 22, 2010

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union College is holding its fourth annual "Education on the Run" at the INN at Honey Run in Holmes County February 26-28.

A "college-like" experience for Mount Union alumni and friends, "Education on the Run" is a three-day academic seminar but without exams, papers and final grades. Instead, the seminar offers the opportunity to learn while relaxing in the ambiance of the Amish Heartland.

Among this year's presenters are Lyle Crist, professor emeritus of English, Arthur Murdoch, professor emeritus of chemistry, James P. Rodman, professor emeritus of physics and astronomy and director of the Clarke Observatory and Robert G. Wiese, professor emeritus of geology.

"Education on the Run" also offers alumni and friends the opportunity to hear from Dr. John L. Ewing, Jr., Mount Union College's tenth president.

A special performance will be given by the Mount Union Fire-Engine Choir under the direction of Dr. Scott Dorsey, assistant professor and director of choral activities.

For further information, interested persons may contact Dorothy Davis, director of alumni and college activities, at (330) 823-2030.
