Mount Union Fraternities and Sororities Celebrate Greek Week

April 22, 2010

Mount Union College held its annual Greek Week festivities both on and off campus last week.

Students cheered their Greek teammates on during the Tug-of-War contest.

Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Sigma Nu fraternity were the overall winners of Greek Week, a week of games and friendly competition that culminated with a bowling outing and community service work. Students from each of the four sororities and four fraternities finished the week by participating in Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 23, raking leaves in yards located near the fraternity houses.

Other activities included the annual Greek Sing competition, a lip sync contest and the 'Greek Olympics,' which included tug-of-war and 3-on-3 basketball contests.

Making a "human pyramid" can be quite a balancing act, but the participants seemed to be having a good time.

Members of the fraternities and sororities took on the task of raking leaves for residents in close proximity to campus.
