Mount Union Fraternities Receive Awards

ALLIANCE, Ohio — University of Mount Union fraternities Phi Kappa Tau (PKT) and Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) recently received prestigious awards for their chapters as well as becoming finalists for national awards.
At the 2012 ATO Congress, ATO received the True Merit Award. This award is given to the top ATO chapters in the country that achieve a level of chapter operation that is worthy of recognition. They were amongst great colleges such as Emory and Baylor. Also, ATO was just shy of being in the top 10 list of ATO chapters in the country.
PKT also received national awards at their national convention. They were finalists for the highest honor award, the Maxwell Award. Although PKT did not win the Maxwell Award, they did win multiple other awards including Recruitment Pacesetter Award for recruitment excellence, Community Service Award for completing 91.69 service hours per brother, Academic Excellence Award and the Philanthropic Award for donating $3,124 to the SeriousFun Children’s Network, Phi Kappa Tau’s national philanthropy.
