Mount Union Graduate to Appear on "Law and Order"
April 22, 2010
Jason Marr, a 1997 graduate of Mount Union College, will be appearing on an episode of NBC's "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," which airs on Sunday, November 16 at 9 p.m.
Marr is a professional actor. While a student at Mount Union, Marr appeared in many performances with the Mount Union Players. He appeared in "Into the Woods," "The Visit," and played Professor Henry Higgins in "My Fair Lady." He returned to Mount Union last year to make a guest appearance as the lead in "Enemy of the People." He has also participated with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival for the past two years.
Marr earned his bachelor's degree from Mount Union in political science and philosophy, with a minor in theatre. He was the recipient of the Mount Union Players Award and the Prize for the Performing Arts. He later attended Indiana University, working on a master's degree in acting.
"Jason will be playing the part of a defense attorney in the episode of "Law and Order," said Dr. Douglas Hendel, professor of theatre. "That is particularly interesting when you note that Jason's undergraduate degree was in pre-law."
Marr and his wife Joy, who is an actress, live in New York City.
