Mount Union Hosts AICUO and OFIC Board Meetings

Both the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) and the Association of Independent Colleges & Universities of Ohio’s (AICUO) board meetings were held on the University of Mount Union’s campus on Tuesday, October 4.
Nearly 30 presidents of private higher education institutions in Ohio were in attendance as well as nearly 30 professionals from some of Ohio’s premiere businesses including Belden Brick Co., Fifth Third Bank, AT&T Ohio FirstMerit Corporation, FirstEnergy Solutions and Black,McCuskey, Souers & Arbaugh.
Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of Mount Union, had the opportunity to address these individuals during a joint luncheon where he discussed Mount Union’s successes and challenges in the higher education marketplace. Mount Union is a member of both AICUO and OFIC.
Founded in 1969, AICUO represents privately supported, nonprofit colleges and universities in Ohio, conducting public relations, research and government relations for its members. For 60 years, the OFIC has been a national leader in providing unrestricted donations and student scholarships through funds raised in annual solicitations from businesses, foundations and other donors.
