Mount Union Invites Community to Take Part in Book Club Discussion

"New York Times" bestselling author Michael Datcher will keynote this year's Black History Month Celebration at Mount Union College and will offer a special book club discussion on campus, featuring his book "Raising Fences: A Black Man's Love Story." The book was featured as a "Today Show" Book Club selection.
The discussion will be held on February 4, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Cultural Center, located on Simpson Street. The following evening, February 5, he will present the keynote address, kicking-off Black History Month at Mount Union College.
Datcher is an author, poet, playwright and journalist. He teaches English literature at West Los Angeles College and UCLA Extensions, and he is the director of literary programs at the World Stage Writer's Workshop in Leimert Park.
Those interested in participating in the book club discussion can purchase a copy of "Raising Fences: A Black Man's Love Story" at the Mount Union College Bookstore, located inside the Hoover-Price Campus Center.
