ALLIANCE, Ohio - Kicking off the month of April, the Mount Union Music Department will be featuring a senior recital, given by Kate DeStefano, and two student recitals the week of April 1-7.

DeStefano, a music performance major from Carrollton, will be performing Sunday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. Her performance will consist of several pieces including Reverie Clair de Lune Syrinx by Claude Debussy, Georg Philipp Telemann's Sonata No. 2, Robert Schumann's Introduction, Dance and Furioso and Three Romances by Maurice Ravel. Assisting her on piano will be accompanist Rosalima Valdez and on alto saxophone, instructor Paul Wusow.

Then on April 3 at 10:35 a.m. in Presser Recital Hall, a student recital will be held, which will feature performances by several students. Those students are: Michael Brown, a sophomore from Bedford; Adam Deen, a sophomore from LaGrange, GA; Mitchell Edwards, a freshman from Beloit; Desiree Gerrick, a freshman from Ravenna; Rebecca Griffith, a sophomore from Waynesburg; Carrie Hull, a junior from Kensington; and Stefanie Ruby, a junior from Wooster.

Another student recital will be held Thursday, April 5 at 10:35 a.m. in Presser Recital Hall. This recital will feature performances by: Heather Baucum, a sophomore from Carrollton, GA; Naomi Matsunaga, a junior from Japan; Rachel Mayfield, a sophomore from Atwater; Amy Riegler, a freshman from North Canton; Leslie Rogers, a freshman from Salem; Rachel Schmidt, a freshman from Elyria; and Dana Wessel, a freshman from Hudson.

The recitals are free and open to the public. Presser Recital Hall is located in the Cope Music building on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street.
