Mount Union Observes International Education Week with a Variety of Events

International Education Week was held at Mount Union College November 16-22. Special events were featured everyday to promote international awareness on campus and in the community.
The Foreign Film Festival movies, including a film panel presentation and audience discussion, featured cinematic works from a different country each day. Mini Language Lessons on German, Chinese, Russian, Arabic and Vietnamese were also offered.
A Celebration of Languages, sponsored by Alpha Mu Gamma & The Department of Foreign Languages, was held on Tuesday. Students and faculty had the opportunity to enjoy several appetizers and play numerous games highlighting countries worldwide for a variety of prizes.
On Friday, the International Tea featuring Europe offered treats and more as international students from various European countries shared about their respective countries with the group.
The Making a Difference Worldwide Display rounded out Friday’s events.
On Saturday, the annual International Dinner was held in the Kresge Dining Commons. Organized each year the Association of International Students, the dinner highlights not only food from around the world, but cultural customs and traditions as well through a variety of performances and presentations.
