Mount Union Presents Repertory Strings Concert

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The University of Mount Union Department of Music will present a Repertory Strings concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26 in Myers Sanctuary located in Dewald Chapel.

The concert is a chronological event through 400 years of western music designed to divert, delight and inform. It will include performances of works by Monteverdi, Purcell, Rossini, Mascagni, Joplin, Ives, Bartok, Hohvaness and Zahab.

The concert will be conducted by Eric Benjamin, lecturer of music at Mount Union.

Founded by Mount Union music professor Dr. Elaine Anderson in 1998, the Repertory Strings is a small chamber orchestra made up of Mount Union students, string faculty, advanced high school players and invited community members.

The concert is free and open to the public.
