Mount Union Professor Publishes 9th Edition of Rhetoric Book

Dr. William E. Coleman, professor of communication and assistant to the president for diversity affairs, has had the 9th edition of his book on rhetoric published.
'Rhetoric of Western Thought: From the Mediterranean World to Global Setting' was written by Coleman, two of his professors from graduate school at Ohio State University and one of his former classmates. He has been working with the two professors since graduate school and has continued to update the book every few years.
Coleman joined the faculty at Mount Union College in 1979 after serving as assistant professor in the Department of Speech and Drama at the Newark campus of The Ohio State University. He has also published a number of articles in academic journals.
He earned bachelors and masters degrees in communication and a doctoral degree in rhetorical theory and criticism, all at The Ohio State University. He attended Crozer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia before earning his master of divinity degree in religion and theology from Capital University.
