Mount Union’s Steel Band to Perform

ALLIANCE, Ohio.—The University of Mount Union Department of Music will present a steel band concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 in Campus Grounds of the Hoover Price Campus Center.
Students performing are Tim Bagnola, sophomore computer science major of Canton, OH.; Eric Carbenia, senior integrated media and philosophy major of Waynesburg, OH; Rebekah Davis, sophomore history major of Alliance, OH; Cresslyn DiRosa, senior music major of Burton, OH; Sara Hall, senior intercultural studies and political science major of Canton, OH; Jacob Husted, senior music education major of Carrollton, OH; Megan Kurz, sophomore biology major of Rocky River, OH; Kevin Princic, senior intercultural studies and Japanese major of Stow, OH; Zack Shankle, sophomore psychology major of Somerdale, OH and Keith Wilson, senior music education major of Canton, OH..
The band will be directed by Jeffrey Neitzke, lecturer of percussion. Selections include “Tamboo Bamboo,” “Everybody Loves Saturday Night” and “Matilda” arranged by Jeff Nietzke, “Three Little Birds” and “Buffalo Soldier” by Bob Marley and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” by Sting.
The New Originals: Erynn Krebs, Will Krebs, Mathew Dudak and Jeff Nietzke, will perform as well. They will later combine with the Mount Union steel band to play “Pan in a Minor” by Lord Kitchener.
