Mount Union Students to Collect Canned Goods
October 30, 2012
ALLIANCE, Ohio — Despite Alliance’s trick-or-treat being rescheduled, University of Mount Union students will still collect canned goods from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
As part of the University’s Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods event, students, including members of Sophomore Service Honorary and the men’s and women’s swim teams, will visit Alliance neighborhoods to collect canned goods. Students will be assigned routes and will wear nametags so residents know they are representing Mount Union.
Residents can leave food on their porches along with the postcard distributed last week or with the porch light on for students to collect.
All canned goods collected will benefit the Alliance Community Pantry. For information, contact the Ralph and Mary Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement at (330) 823-5993.
