CANTON, Ohio – Four students in the Honors Program at the University of Mount Union will compete in the second annual “Battle of the Brains.” The trivia competition, similar to academic challenge competitions, is sponsored by the College Club of Canton (CCoC). Battle of the Brains will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 at Glenwood Intermediate School.

Last year, the Mount Union team took first place at the inaugural competition. Mount Union students will again face teams from Kent State University at Stark and Malone University.

The team is comprised of Rebecca Cooper ’18 of Newton Falls, Ohio, Natalie Fry ’21 of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Michael McIntyre ’21 of Warren, Ohio, and Tia Swallow ’20 of Canton, Ohio.

Tickets for the event are $5 for adults and $2 for students. Proceeds benefit the CCoC’s Scholarship Loan Program. The event also includes a silent auction of themed gift baskets.
