Mount Union Students to Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods October 31

May 25, 2010

On Friday, October 31, Mount Union College student organizations will once again be trick or treating for canned goods. Collected goods will benefit the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter.

“Last year’s event was a great success,” said Amanda Espenschied-Reilly, director of service-learning and community service. “Handing out the flyers a week in advance prepares community members for our students so they can have a donation ready.”

Trick-or-Treat for canned goods with the Office of Service-Learning and Community Service and Sophomore Service supports hunger awareness. Every student group planning to participate needs to register no later than Wednesday, October 22 so that routes can be assigned, name tags distributed and flyers educating the residents about the event can be distributed throughout the community.

For more information, contact the Office of Service-Learning and Community Service (330) 823-2838 or with any questions or to register for a trick-or-treating route.
