Mount Union to Celebrate Constitution Day with Guest Speaker Amy Shriver Dreussi

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union will celebrate Constitution Day by welcoming Dr. Amy Shriver Dreussi to speak in front of community members and students Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m.
Dreussi is a professor of social science at the University of Akron and the current co-president of the Canton Area League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
A native of Northeast Ohio, she has worked as a newspaper reporter, director of a nonprofit organization and a research and evaluation consultant. Her areas of research include civic education and diversity.
Her speech, “Fair Districts, Fair Elections,” will discuss the upcoming ballot issues concerning redistricting in Ohio. The event is free to students and the public and will take place in the University of Mount Union’s Campus Grounds in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.
