ALLIANCE, Ohio — In commemoration of Earth Hour on Saturday, March 23, the University of Mount Union will hold a special event at 8 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.

To join the event, Mount Union will host a special event in Mount Union Stadium. Based on attendance of students, faculty and staff members, a number of events will occur. If 100 students attend, associate professor of communication and department chair in the Department of Communication Harry Paidas will run a one-mile race with students. If 200 attend, Greek life will hand out organic cotton T-shirts. For 300, head football coach and athletic director Larry Kehres will arm wrestle MUcaw, and for 400, President’s Council will do the Harlem Shake with MUcaw.
At 8:30 p.m., stadium lights will go out and attendees will be asked to spell something out with cell phone lights. The photo will be submitted to earthhour.org.
