Mount Union to Hold a Variety of Music Events Throughout Holiday Season

A variety of music events will be held throughout the beginning of the holiday season at Mount Union College, featuring recitals and concerts to appeal to many different musical interests.


Student recitals will be held on Tuesday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 7 in Presser Recital Hall at 10:30 a.m. The recital on November 30 will feature a clarinet performance, an organ performance and a vocal performance. The December 7 recital will feature a trumpet performance.

On Friday, December 3, there will be a Ceremony of Carols at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. The Preparatory Division Musicales will be held Saturday, December 4 at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., also in Presser Recital Hall. The Mount Union Horn Ensemble and Trumpet Ensemble will perform in Presser Recital Hall on Monday, December 6 at 8 p.m., featuring various selections and some holiday music.

The Jazz Band will hold a concert on Wednesday, December 8 at 8 p.m., also in Presser Recital Hall. On Thursday, December 9 in Rodman Playhouse at 8 p.m., the Wind Ensemble will present a concert.

A choir concert will be held at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall on Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11. Tickets are required but they are free of charge. On Sunday, December 12 at 3 p.m. at Alliance High School there will be an Alliance Symphony Concert.
