Mount Union Travels to Rock Island, Illinois for Sweet 16 Games

Mount Union's men's basketball team will travel to Rock Island, Illinois and Augustana College for the round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Purple Raiders (24-6 overall) will be making their second-ever Sweet 16 appearance and first since 1997. The Purple Raiders entered the 62-team NCAA Tournament after winning the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Championship and advanced with home wins over Neumann University and Cavlin College this past weekend.
The Roy J. Carver Physical Education Center will be the site of competition. Tickets will be available on site from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12. Ticket sales will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. Adult tickets will be $7 for adults and $4 for students.
No. 12 Marietta will play No. 24 St. Olaf at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with the host team No. 6 Augustana playing No. 19 Mount Union at 8:30 p.m. The winners will play Saturday night at 8 p.m. All times are eastern standard time.
Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Babson and Randolph Macon are the three other sectional hosts this weekend and the national semifinals and finals will be held at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia.
Four sectional sites (rounds of 16 and 8) will take place next weekend, March 13-14 with the national semifinals and finals March 20-21 at Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia.
