Mount Union to Host Leadership Workshop March 27-28

Mount Union College will host the 2008 Public Service Leadership Workshop Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The program, “The Trusted Leader: Building the Relationships that Make Communities Work,” is being presented by the Ralph and Mary Regula Center for Public Service.

Open to individuals from state and local agencies, special districts, non-profit organizations, civic clubs and church community entities, the two-day workshop will include sessions crucial to successful leadership.

Sessions will include forming policies and achieving results; how to grow as an organizational leader; the most effective communication practices; grant writing and receiving funds from outside sources; creating a roadmap for your organization to follow; and improving the current employee/employer relationship.

Instructors of the program are recognized experts in their fields of public policy, human resource management, organizational leadership and philanthropy.  Case studies, group exercises, personal evaluations and panel discussions will be used to create a positive learning experience.
