Mount Union to Present Junior Recital on April 4

The Mount Union College Department of Music will present a junior recital on April 4 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. Tenor Michael Vince will be featured and accompanied by Janelle Phinney, lecturer of music.

Vince is a senior from Wintersville and is majoring in music performance with a minor in theatre.

Selections will include Gi' il sole dal Gange by Alessandro Scarlatti, Amarilli, mia bella by Giulio Caccini, Vittoria, mio core by Giacomo Carissimi, and Die Forelle, D 550; Fr'hlingsglaude, D 686 and An Sylvia, D 891 both by Franz Schubert.

There will be an intermission, followed by the performance of Lydia, Op. 4, No.2; Ica-bas! Op. 8, No.3 and Les matelots, Op.2, No. 2 by Gabriel Faur'. Then, Come Again Sweet Love by John Dowland, Three by Paul Bowles, On a Wife (An Epitaph) by Richard Hundley and It Was a Lover and His Lass by Frederic Austin will be presented.

Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall, which stands on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street, across from the Campus Lakes.
