Mount Union to Present Piano Keys Recital

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union will present a Piano Keys recital at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28 in Presser Recital Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

The program will feature current and former students of director Dr. Maira Liliestedt, associate professor of music at the University of Mount Union. Liliestedt earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Bowling Green State University and Master and Doctor of Music degrees in piano from the University of Cincinnati.

Performers include sport business and music major Sean Croell, international affairs and diplomacy major Olivia DeMartino, pre-college student Alex Drewes, music performance major Jenna Hoffman, music performance major Kenan Irish, music and religious studies major Mikayla Kovacik, music performance major Patrick McKitrick, music and French major Paige Morris and music major Jeff Williams. Former Mount Union student Marina Iwao, a graduate of Longy School of Music Mannes School of Music, will also perform.

Compositions to be performed include works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Friedrich Burgmüller, Erik Satie, Edward MacDowell, Domenico Scarlatti, Frédéric Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn, Johann Sebastian Bach, Alberto Ginastera and Enrique Granados.
