MOUNT UNION WELCOMES NEW FACULTY MEMBERS TO CAMPUS

Mount Union College welcomes the addition of three new faculty members to the college community.
Ricardo Herrera of Alamo Heights, Texas has been selected to join the history and political science department. Herrera earned his bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of California, a master of arts degree in United States history and a doctoral degree in United States history, both from Marquette University.
Before joining the faculty of Mount Union, Herrera worked as an assistant professor for Marquette University, as well as Texas Lutheran University. He also worked as a lecturer for Carthage College and for the University of Wisconsin.
Wayne Johnson of Hudson has been selected to join the psychology department Johnson earned his associate of arts degree from Modesto Junior College, bachelor of arts degree in psychology with honors from California State University at Sacramento, and a doctoral degree in experimental psychology from Colorado State University.
Before joining the faculty of Mount Union, Johnson attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and served as an associate professor of psychology at Bowling Green State University, Walsh University, Kent State University and Mount Union College.
Jay Jonas of Tiffin has been selected to join the human performance and sport management department. Jonas earned his bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Marietta College and his master of education in athletic training from the University of Virginia.
Before joining the faculty of Mount Union, Jonas worked as a physical therapy aide for SportsMed Incorporated and as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Virginia Military Institute. He also served as the head athletic trainer at La Roche College and as an instructor of athletic training at Heidelberg College.
