The community feeling of all the students, professors, staff and administrators definitely make Mount Union unique. I love the feeling of being able to talk to anyone on campus and have them recognize me. It’s very personal and makes me feel right at home.
Music Performance Major
At Mount Union, you will not only learn how to become a polished and engaged classical musician, you will have the opportunity to practice the art of music performance countless times through participation in numberous musical organizations. Play in the community-wide orchestra, perform at student recitals or sing in the concert choir. The opportunities are truly endless for music performance majors.
Music performance graduates can be seen performing on stages and in concert halls across the country, and have found success working for organizations including the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and Metropolitan Opera.
Students of this program have also chosen to pursue graduate study at institutions including New York University, University of Akron and Youngstown State University.
The major in music performance is administered by the Department of Music, which also offers programs in music and music education.
