NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador to Speak at Mount Union College April 13

May 10, 2010

On Friday, April 13, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador David Gill, a 1979 Mount Union College graduate, will present 'Saturn ' The Art and Science of Cassini' at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of Bracy Hall.

The Cassini mission has been intensively exploring the Saturn system of planets rings and moons since 2004 and has returned many startlingly beautiful views. Gill will highlight the science and show plenty of the Cassini team's 'art.'

After the presentation, the Society of Physics Students will hold the last public observing night of the semester from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the roof of Bracy Hall.

Bracy Hall is located at the southwest corner of Union Avenue and College Street.

In the case of inclement weather, the observatory will not open for viewing. Up-to-date observing details, including information about current weather conditions, can be found at http://raider.muc.edu/ph/Observatory. Those interested also can call the observatory at (330) 829-6193 to confirm whether or not the observatory will be open.
