Nature Center to Celebrate African American Culture
May 10, 2010
Join the John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center on Saturday, February 21 from 2 - 5 p.m. for a celebration of nature and African American culture.
Help us celebrate Black History Month as we join Michelle Collins-Sibley and Barbara Lyons to discover the connection between nature and African American culture. If the weather is not unreasonable we'll spend some time outside collecting, so dress appropriately for an outdoor excursion.
We'll be forging a connection with food, as well as some hands-on creations. We are hoping for another connection with a drumming circle, helping us get in touch with the Earth.
No registration is required. Call the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487 for more details. The Nature Center is located six miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183.
