Nature Center to hold Bird Biology Lecture on June 18
June 11, 2009The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a lecture entitled “Bird Biology: Bird Senses” on Thursday, June 18 at 8 p.m.
Participants have the opportunity to join students in Chuck McClaugherty’s Ornithology class for a series of lectures on Bird Biology. Lectures will be held on six successive Thursdays at 8 p.m. at the Visitors Center. The lectures will not require prior biology classes or knowledge and will be suitable for adults and middle to high school-aged students.
This lecture will look at how birds have the same senses that humans do, but they undoubtedly perceive the world differently. Participants will learn about how birds see, hear, smell, taste and feel.
