Nature Center to hold Bird Biology Lecture on June 4

The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a lecture entitled “Bird Biology: Diversity of Birds” on Thursday, June 4 at 8 p.m.
Participants have the opportunity to join students in Chuck McClaugherty’s Ornithology class for a series of lectures on Bird Biology. Lectures will be held on six successive Thursdays at 8 p.m. at the Visitors Center. The lectures will not require prior biology classes or knowledge and will be suitable for adults and middle to high school-aged students.
This lecture will explore nearly 10,000 species of birds, and how they are all related. Participants will learn about the major groups of birds and their interesting and identifying characteristics.
