New Courses

ED 213 Comparative Education. The course focuses on education practices and global trends (historical, economic, social, and cultural forces) that influence education. Case studies will be utilized to stimulate discussion to help students develop a global perspective of universal educational problems. The course is designed to have a central theme to further opportunities for comparison, e. g. creativity, pedagogy, assessment, curriculum, etc. The course addresses the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Ohio Department of Education’s goals that deal with diversity. Prerequisite: ED 150W. 3 Sem. Hrs. (typically offered spring semester)
