Mount Union Bookstore to Begin Selling University
July 24, 2010
The University Store at Mount Union will begin selling University of Mount Union apparel on Monday, July 26.
The University Store, located within the Hoover-Price Campus Center, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
To change the designation of the institution, unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees in October of 2009, came after careful review of data gathered through numerous research efforts and thoughtful consideration and discussion. Over the past 30 years, more than 500 private colleges have become universities, and the designation of “university” best describes what Mount Union is today and more effectively communicates all that the institution has to offer.
Mount Union will make the official transition to the university label on Sunday, August 1 with the unveiling of the newly-etched Tomsich Entrance Gates featuring the University of Mount Union name at 1 p.m. The Tomsich Entrance Gates are located on the corner of State St. and Clark Ave. In conjunction with the unveiling ceremony and ArtFest on campus, the University Store will be open from noon to 3 p.m.
