The Mount Union College Department of Music will present a vocal showcase recital on Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

Sharon Luke, director of physician assistant studies, presented “The Healthy People Initiatives” during the second LINC Luncheon held Tuesday at Mount Union College.

On Friday, October 31, Mount Union College student organizations will once again be trick or treating for canned goods. Collected goods will benefit the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter.

Angela Rose, a pioneer of the issue of sexual assault for nearly ten years, will speak at Mount Union College’s Annual Take Back the Night program on Wednesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. in Campus Grounds of the Hoover-Price Campus Center.

Mount Union College honored lead supporters Carl ’60 and Martha Gartner of Minerva, OH while celebrating what will become the first LEED-certified college or university facility in Stark County at a ground-breaking ceremony for its new Welcome Center on Friday, October 17. The facility is a significant project of the Drive for Distinction campaign.

On Friday, October 17 Mount Union College held a dedication ceremony for Orwick-Nicholson Court, the College’s newest apartment-style housing facility.

Mount Union College Repertory Strings will present a concert on Tuesday, October 21 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center of Mount Union College will be holding a Bird Banding on Saturday, October 18 at 8 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Urban Birds from 10-11 a.m.

The Mount Union College Physician Assistant Program – the institution’s first master’s level program in nearly a century – was granted provisional accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), following its September 2008 meeting.
