Kenneth Huff will present the Kershaw Lecture at Mount Union College on Thursday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. The lecture will be followed by an artist’s reception in Crandall Art Gallery.

The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center of Mount Union College will be participating in the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology’s Great Backyard Bird Count on Friday, February 15 through Monday, February 18.

The Pridonoff Duo will be teaching a piano masterclass and performing a duo piano concert at Mount Union College on Friday, February 22. The masterclass will be held from 4-6 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall during which the Pridonoffs will publicly teach four Mount Union students in a master class setting that is open to the public. The Pridonoffs will then perform a duo piano concert at 8 p.m., also in Presser Hall.

he 15th Annual National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) Advocacy Award was presented to Congressman Ralph Regula Tuesday evening by Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of Mount Union College at an awards ceremony held in Washington D.C. The award was in recognition of Congressman Regula’s lifetime commitment to higher education.

Mount Union College’s Office of International Student Services held their own Seijin-Shiki ceremony on Sunday, January 27 in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center honoring seven international students who did not have the chance to attend celebrations in their own hometowns.

Author and hip-hop historian Kevin Powell was the featured speaker for Mount Union College’s Black History Month as he addressed Mount Union faculty and staff, students and Alliance community members on Tuesday, February 5 in the Dewald Chapel.

A recital featuring Mount Union College Department of Music faculty members Bohdan Subchak on violin and viola and Jayne Naragon on clarinet and alto saxophone will be held Sunday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
