Mount Union College held their annual Greek Week festivities November 2-6, naming Alpha Chi Omega and Alpha Tau Omega Greek Week 2009 champions.

International Education Week will be held at Mount Union College November 16-21. Special events will be held throughout the week to promote international awareness.

Kyle Anderson, Brett Baker, Ryan Brody and Chris Crawford not only made financial gains this summer, they made gains toward their educational goals.

The Mount Union College Woodwind ensembles will perform a concert on Wednesday, November 18 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The Mount Union College Department of Theatre will present the 2007 Pulitzer Prize winner, “Rabbit Hole” by David Lindsay-Abaire. Performances will be held November 19-21 at 8 p.m. in the Rodman Playhouse.

The Manhattan Piano Trio (MPT) will perform a guest recital on Monday, November 16 in Presser Recital Hall at 8 p.m.

Dr. Leonard Epp, professor of biology at Mount Union College, will discuss limb regeneration at the LINC, college-community luncheon series on Tuesday, November 17 at noon in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center.

The Fall 2009 Student Debate centered around the topic “Resolved: The attacks on Obama’s Healthcare Reform are irrationally based on unfounded fear and political posturing, and hurt the Democratic process.” Six Mount Union students debated this topic on Tuesday, November 10 at the College.

The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will be holding a Walk with a Naturalist on Sunday, November 15 at 2 p.m.

The Omega Iota Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society at Mount Union College, recently received three national awards at the Biennial Convocation in Orlando, FL.

Four Mount Union College alumni served as speakers at the 2009 Annual Sport Marketing Association International Conference that was hosted by the College’s sport business program on Wednesday, October 28 through Friday, October 30 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.

Basheer Jones, Cleveland radio personality, motivational speaker and political activist, served as the keynote speaker at the 2nd annual Not Another Statistic Conference that was held on Mount Union College’s campus on November 6-7.

MUCaw, the Mount Union Purple Raiders’ mascot, celebrated its 15th birthday with the help of other mascots from the surrounding areas on Saturday, November 7, as a part of Family Day.

Frank Jackson, the mayor of Cleveland, made a visit to Mount Union College on Monday, November 9 and spent the day speaking to faculty, staff and students.

All alumni and friends are invited to join President and Mrs. Giese in an informal setting for an update on "what's happening" around campus and the future of Mount Union for the Ohio Tour with events scheduled in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Canton in November.
