Dr. Linda Burkey, professor of education and chair of the Department of Education at Mount Union College has been selected as the Lester D. Crow Professor in Education and Dr. James Perone, professor of music and chair of the Department of Music has been selected as the Margaret Morgan Ramsey Professor in Music.

Dr. Beth Canfield-Simbro, assistant professor of human performance and sport business and co-director of the honors program, has been awarded a scholarship to participate in the first-ever Society for Public Health Education’s (SOPHE) State Health Policy Institute (SHPI).

Dr. John Recchiuti, professor of history and director of the American Studies program at Mount Union College, has been selected as the John E. and Helen Saffell Endowed Chair in Humanities.

Before sunrise on Sunday morning, Mount Union College welcomed its baseball team home after a week-long Spring Break trip that ended in a 7-1 record. Even more impressive was that all of it happened after the team survived a fire on its bus at the start of its trip last Saturday.

Works by Mount Union College students will be on display during the Annual Student Art Exhibit in Crandall Art Gallery Monday, March 16 through Thursday, April 2. A reception will be held Thursday, March 19 from 4-6 p.m. in Crandall Art Gallery in honor of the students and their accomplishments.

Pianist Dr. Chung-Ha Kim will perform a concert on Tuesday, March 17 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College. In addition, she will hold a master class at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, also in Presser Hall.
