Nursing Accreditation Information
The University of Mount Union obtained approval/authorization to offer the BSN degree from the following:
- Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) granted initial approval to offer the BSN degree program.
- The Higher Learning Commission granted approval to offer the BSN degree program.
- The Ohio Board of Regents granted authorization to offer the BSN degree program.
The baccalaureate of science in nursing (BSN) degree program at the University of Mount Union is pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791. Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
The University submitted an initial application for consideration for accreditation to the CCNE and plans to host an on-site visit by a CCNE accreditation team in fall 2015.
Third-party comments are sought from interested individuals (students, alumni, faculty and practice community) and will be accepted by CCNE until August 26, 2015. Click here for more information.
